Last Saturday I showed my work at what I presume will be the first annual
Made by Hand Invitational, a new local craft fair at
The Foundry for Art Design + Culture in Cohoes, NY. It was a small show if measured by the number of crafters, a mere dozen, but a big show by any other measure - it was well-curated for one (if I may say so myself), well-attended and one you won't want to miss when it convenes again.
I didn't know going in what to expect from this upstart show, but was happy to give it a go, and in the end I was very impressed. If invited again, I'll be back. Kudos go to show organizer
Alana Sparrow Matulis for a home-run inaugural effort.
The Foundry is host to all sorts of art events, and more, so if you're local, follow on
Facebook and check out the
website, and better yet, put one of their events on your calendar.
Below are a few shots from the show, all courtesy of Alana Sparrow Matulis.
